The trip started the day before embarkation. We stayed at the Lago Mar in Ft Lauderdale. The hotel was pricey but what a fun place to stay. We were right on the beach and actually got up at 4:30 in the morning to walk down to the mouth of the port to watch Allure of the Sea coming in. It was worth it.

This is our second trip on Allure of the Sea. The ship is a bit larger than what we prefer but never suffers for something to do at all hours. We have sailed with Royal Caribbean numerous times.

We arrived at the port at 9:45 and they opened up the registration at 10:00 a.m. we had our sea pass card in minutes and went upstairs to await boarding. We were on the ship before 11:00 a.m. and enjoying a cocktail at the schooner bar. Embarkation could not be better!

Cabin Review

Boardwalk View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin B2

The cabin is a bit small with very little closet space. With that said this is the second time we have requested and got this room. From this room you have some great people watching opportunities, you can watch the aqua show from here and have a great view of the ocean as you go. We love it.

The last time we were on Allure you could walk across the hall and had a private balcony. This has been converted into another balcony room now (Bummer).

Our stateroom attendant did a great job. He was not very talkative but did get the job done efficiently.

Port Reviews

Cozumel

The port is under construction but still operating well. We always go to Mandys bar in the port. Say HI to Carmella, she has been there 22 years!

Falmouth

Went t Margaritaville and had a great time. It is pricey but good food and cocktails.

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Great job with both embarkation and arrival!
