We just got back today (Sunday March 20th 2016) The tendering (water taxi) system was a joke. We nearly missed our shore excursion because of Norwegians incompetence. Here's a tip... Don't ever book an excursion on a cruise ship unless the ship DOCKS at the port in which you book... I will never book one again if I have to be water taxied ashore. Norwegian doesn't give a hoot about you if you bought your excursion through some one else. My cruise agent did and didn't tell me...
Also, there is as always WAY too much chair saving on these cruises. Went poolside Saturday morning. Hardly a soul there and no chairs were available. Terrible!!
Also our stateroom washroom smelled of urine, must be under the cushion floor or something because they scrubbed it and it came back within a day.. Had to wait until Wednesday to get a coffee maker for our room and the casino has no doors and second hand smoke travels far and wide on this ship. I suspect the air quality is poor on the whole ship ( decks too as you have to walk right through a smoking area to get the the pool (starboard 12th deck)..Not a fan of that... Noisy above us too. Must have been kids jumping on the floor in their room above...
Only one port had free wifi (Costa Maya) .. the nicest port we stopped at..On the good side, food was good and entertainment was good. Oh yes, they sell you an expensive beverage package but they don't employ enough bartenders. Not unusual to wait 20 minutes for a drink.. Their way of slowing you down I suppose.. Overall it was just so so .... Not bad, nothing special
They worked us over pretty good......
