This was our first cruise. We traveled with our daughters family which included 4 children. The youngest is 5. The staff at carnival helped us along the way to be comfortable right from the moment we walked up to the check in desk to the last moment we walked the final gangway. Our room steward took time to talk to us everyday and share about his own life back home. He knew our names on the first day. Same thing during our diner in the Washington dining hall. Our waiter knew what the children wanted by the second day. Like a baked potato everyday with sour cream and bacon. And a bowl of fresh grapes when there wasn't any to be seen anywhere else. All we had to do was ask. The inner stateroom on the first deck was clean, comfortable and roomy even for 4 people. It helped to keep everything in the big closets. We slept soundly to the humming of the big engines. The food was always fresh, and available. We ate buffet style at Rosie's most of the time and had room service breakfast once on a busy port day. The omelets and bacon are our favorites. Also found Fish and Chips one day for fresh crispy fries and wonderful seafood treats. The dining hall experience was delightful with the waiters and fancy choices. I highly recommend dressing up a little and enjoy the experience. After or before diner are some really good shows and comedians. We took in a couple of them. There is so much to do. Something for everyone. This trip had the best port days. Amber Cove,St. Thomas,San Juan,And Grand Turk. At St. Thomas we booked an excurtion to snorkle with sea turtles. It was a pretty short and crowded trip. Everyone seemed to be having a good time, but for the cost of it I expected more. After that excurtion,we got in a open air taxi and asked the driver to take us to a recommended little beach, Morning Star, next to the Marriet Hotel. It was private and so perfect for our family. Our taxi driver even waited for us to finish swimming and took us back to our cruise ship on time. I could go on and on how wonderful this cruise is for all ages.

Cabin Review

Interior
Cabin 4C 1295
Plenty of room for a family of 4. Just slept and bathed there. Lots of closet space. We brought extra hangers. Also a small power strip and little fan. I would recommend a night light too. Very dark.
