We cruise a lot, over25 cruises so far, but our first time on Norwegian.
The food left a LOT to be desired, we had the restaurant package with 4 specialty meals. (Note- Norwegian has no "formal" dining room, they have a very nice buffett on the 15th floor, and "free" restaurants and their "speciality" restaurants. We ate in the speciality restaurant Cagneys Steakhouse and the food was served cool, not hotand the steak was marginal. The food in French speciality Le Bistro was excellent, but we wore shorts so had to sit outside the main restaurant. This was fine except there is a large chandelier in the center of that hall, it changes colors constantly, so my Onion soup was tasty, but changed from a nasty blood red to a unappetizing green. Suggest they keep the light on clear/white when they have people dining. La Cucuna Italian was okay, but noting special- the lobster was just watery and mushy. . Best by far was Teppenyaki Japanese the food was excllent and the chefs preparing the food were fantastic.
The entertainment was not that great. well, you have to pay for the cruuise then you have to pay to see some shows. and they werent cheap. The two free shows were Burn the Floor and some other dance show. The show was ok but the theatre seats are AWFUL. Everyone was complaining there is a metal bar in the back of every seat that hits your tailbone. Very uncomfortable to have to sit for more than a few minutes.
The room- we had a mini suite, was excellent. The shower was large and their accesories were Bulgari. No complaints with that.
