Strait of Magellan & Cape Horn
Valparaiso to Buenos Aires, 15th - 29th February 2016
Some of the reviews on this & the return cruise were quite critical but we thought the whole experience - the ship, the staff, the itinerary were all excellent.
No problems, great steward (Virginia), good location.
Airport was chaotic, long queue at immigration, huge numbers bunched together in arrivals hall, difficult to see and hear the Princess reps.
Lovely Chilean countryside, nice lake ride, interesting waterfalls, excellent salmon lunch.
Fascinating old train, friendly staff, lovely countryside
Excellent catamaran cruise, many bird & sealion colonies, and a big whale! Great.
Just a short coach tour around the town & environs. Being British we found this fascinating. Informative guide.
Got off tender at jetty, straight into Tourist Info, got a private tour immediately for 40 dollars. Lovely retired chap took us to the cove at waited as long as we wanted. Saw the penguins and the dolphins in the bay. Then took us all round the town and surrounding areas.
In view of this, the Princess tour in the afternoon was unnecessary really as it went to the same places except the cove.
Stanley is a lovely little town but in a bleak landscape, glad it wasn't winter.
What a beautiful place this is. Miles and miles of lovely promenade and beaches.
Modern buildings not very high-rise. Apparently high standard of living.
Soccer stadium a bit run down to be honest but museum interesting.
We want to go back to Uruguay!
