This is my 41st cruise and my first review on Cruise Critic. Princess is an outstanding cruise line and one of my favorites, but, they need to work on a few things. As I stated, I have been on 41 cruises, so I consider myself a bit of an seasoned cruiser. Princess has the worst embarkation process I have ever encountered. I have only been on four Princess cruises and for each cruise there has been a line outside of the terminal- the wait was almost an hour just to get into the door! WOW!! Yes- Princess is worth the wait, but there are a number of people that find the wait difficult. Once inside, only one security line was open causing a longer backup. After you received your key, we were told to sit in another waiting area, once that area was filler, we were allowed to board the ship. The employees were rude with nasty and unnecessary comments ( I made the mistake of standing up because I was tired of sitting and I was told to sit and wait, the ship isn't going anyplace so just sit).
Once on the ship I was amazed at her beauty! The Emerald Princess is a lovely ship and has a lot to offer. First, I must note that most employees aboard the ship are outstanding! They are very hardworking and will do almost anything for you. I traveled with my spouse and some friends. My friend wanted a pickle for her Bloody Mary and Jaime went out of his way to find her some pickles- something that he did not need to do! The staff made the trip enjoyable.
My hubby and I stayed in balcony cabin A406 and it was roomy, clean and comfortable. The balcony had room for just a small table and two chairs, but it was mid-ship and covered. Our room steward kept our room tidy and took care of us the entire time.

Our room steward kept our room tidy and took care of us the entire time. My only complaint was the shower curtain- it was at least 6 inches off of the floor causing the water to splatter everywhere. The shower had great water pressure and a shower head that actually sprayed water.
