We've cruised with a few different companies in our 12 years of cruising. We've done 5 cruises with Royal Caribbean Adventure of The Seas, and this last time. We've been so disappointed that we're booking with another company for next year. Let me start on the positive first: The ship is lovely....pools are nice and clean. Hot tubs are roomy but not hot. Public areas were always spotless, and the promenade is always the central place to hang out and people watch. The cabins are adequate, however, we did find old yogurt in our fridge! GROSS. That's it for the positives.... The activities are sparse, unless you want to wait until 10:30 pm to party. The entertainment offered a sad display of "Broadway" productions. The talent is tolerable, comedian was good, the Motown singers were wonderful....but 1 good show in 7 days is NOT good enough. Probably the biggest disappointment we've noticed over the last couple of years, is the declining quality of service (especially waiter/bar service) and food. Most people believe this is because of the gratuities already included in the drink packages. The dining room in our first week was a joke! Our group was seated separately, orders were mostly wrong, our main waitress was rude and disrespectful. She lost our wine, food was served cold etc. The menus in the main dining room was sad and boring. We ended up eating in the buffet once because we couldn't find anything on the menu that we wanted. Meal choices were lackluster at best. no nightly shrimp cocktail, no real steak (more than 1/4 in. thick), no "wow" flavors.....sad.... The breakfast in the dining room was the worst I've ever had....breakfast in the Windjammer was the same, boring choices every morning..... The only place to eat a snack was at the pizza/sandwich bar on the promenade which got old by the third night. We also noticed that the drinks were seriously watered down.....bottled beer etc. was fine, but was also the one thing no one could tamper with.....pretty sad... All in all, we noticed that the prices are increasing dramatically while service decreasing dramatically... One gets the feeling that Royal Caribbean thinks the general public are unintelligent enough to pay outrageous prices for mediocre product because they're being told to.... We're done! We work way too hard for our money to throw it away on a company that doesn't appreciate it. We've booked a 7 day Caribbean Cruise with a wonderful cruise line for over $1000 less than Royal Caribbean, on a new cruise ship, with 2 unlimited drink packages and dining packages included! You're going to have to pull up your socks, Royal Caribbean, if you ever want to see our dollars again, but then , you probably don't really care...

We've cruised with a few different companies in our 12 years of cruising. We've done 5 cruises with Royal Caribbean Adventure of The Seas, and this last time. We've been so disappointed that we're booking with another company for next year.

Let me start on the positive first:

The ship is lovely....pools are nice and clean.
