Sail Date: Mar 2009

March 8th- We were able to board the ship at 11:30am. We could not go to our rooms but we were able to go to the Lido deck to eat so that's what we did. There were 6 of us, myself, my husband Tom, my son Tommy, my daughter Marisa and her husband Josh and my youngest son John. It was relaxing but very crowded. It didn't seem very organized. Last year when we sailed on RCL and we ate before getting our rooms, it was much more organized. But I must say, the food was great and there was lots of it! Our room was beautiful, I loved the balcony and there was plenty of room. We received all of our luggage promptly. March 9th- Great food, the boat was a bit rocky but this was because the seas were choppy and windy. It was warm though. The decks always seemed to be full and it was sometimes difficult to find a deck chair to sit and sun. There were quite a few spring breakers and this could be why. I am 52 and my husband is 53. This cruise seemed to be geared more towards the younger crowd. The lines were very slow for lunch. We had late dining and the food was excellent. We had Donavan and Sergio as our waiters and they were great! Very friendly and helpful. We saw the "Jazz Hot" show and it was excellent ( Like a Broadway show). We all enjoyed it. March 10th- We were at Grand Cayman. My husband chose to stay aboard and my daughter, son-in-law and myself went on the Stingray Sandbar. I LOVED IT!!! They truly are fascinating creatures. I got to hold one, kiss it & let it rub my back. It was really cool and I recommend it to anyone who wants to try something different. Cayman was a beautiful place with lots of shopping and great restaurants. Too bad the time went by too quickly. Back to the ship. Once again a great dinner. March 11th- Cozumel. What can I say? We had drinks at Fat Tuesdays, the guys there were a blast. They made us all interesting name tags mine was "Sex Trainer". Need I say more? We ate at Margaritaville and had the best waiter and a great experience. We did shots and just had a great time. It's a little pricey but it was worth it. There were lots of cool shops here too. Del sol has some great color changing clothes and other items, there was Pablo and Charlies ...a mall too! We got a taxi to town and back. It was $16 for 6 of us each way. Not bad at all. Got back and swam. Before we knew it, it was dinner time and the food just kept getting better. The photographers take lots of pictures and I did buy some. You have to really pick and choose or it can get expensive. They seemed to always run specials though, which was nice. March 12th- Belize day. We shopped and then found a tour that was $25 a piece. We got to tour the town and the tour guide we had, Fred Sutherland, was amazing. He knew all kinds of information and little tidbits about the town. It lasted almost 2 hours and we were back in plenty of time for the tender. We enjoyed his tour and would recommend him to anyone. It was much cheaper than the cruise line and I think much more personal. Back to the ship, we had lunch and it was once again crowded. This would have to be the only real flaw I saw with the ship. Before I forget, our romm steward was great. The towel animals were great and our room was always so clean, the ice bucket refilled. What more can I say! March 13th- Roatan- Beautiful Island, not many shops. We hopped a cab that for $25 a person took us to a great beach and waited for us. Not only that, he gave us a small tour. The beach was beautiful. The water refreshing and we spent several hours relaxing and swimming. The ship charged $39 for basically the same thing so we definitely got a deal and we even bought a home made hammock to take home! This was our last cruise elegant night and once again the food was fabulous as was the service. Went to the casino and lost...oh well. March14th- Our last full day (at sea). We ate, swam, hot tubbed and relaxed. I must say, I was not looking forward to this experience ending. The meal was great at night, did I mention how beautiful Truffles Dining Room is?The waiters serenaded us and I actually was teary eyed. We got our bags ready and out the door before 10PM (We had until midnight). Went to the Legends show with fellow guests performers. Some were great and some were terrible. It was a cute show. March 15th- We ate breakfast, went to our room and waited for our number to be called. This was very organized and we were off and through customs faster than I imagined. All in all a great experience.

Cabin Review

Lots of closet space, comfortable bed, great balcony but the chairs were not very comfortable. The sofa was nice in the room. It was quiet in our room.
