We sailed on NCL Star last October, and had a great time. We were a bit apprehensive of The Epic because of her size, but we got a good deal.

The Good - The food, both in the complimentary restaurants and the speciality restaurants, except possibly the Italian. The Ultimate Beverage Package, The Entertainment, The Staff and Service, and the cleanliness of the public areas.

The Bad - Too many people, but to be fair, if the weather had been better there would have been more people out on deck and not inside. We had a balcony stateroom on deck 10, and while it was clean and well maintained, it felt a bit cramped. We feel that it was designed for looks as opposed to practicality. The shower cubicle was quite large, and there was a separate toilet. The area in between, which was in fact behind the stateroom door, was the area that you were supposed to dry off after a shower, with privacy provided by a pull across curtain. The most irritating thing was the minuscule washbasin underneath a mirror which was very poorly lit. How you are supposed to shave or put your make up on, I will never know, let alone wash your smalls.
