The Viking Star has only been in service for less than a year. The ship is well designed with only 930 passengers. There are no inside cabins.

We were in a junior suite on the 6th deck. The cabin was spacious with a good size sitting area. One flat screen TV in the bed room and another in the sitting area. The crew was very well trained in hotel services, bar and dining services.

Two special restaurants (no extra charge) offered fine food although we preferred the Italian restaurant. The regular ship's restaurants were also fine. We did not have a single bad meal on board.
