This I hope will warn people to be very careful when choosing The Norwegian Epic for a holiday break. One in three people are dissatisfied with this ship. Some leave the epic early for several reasons. We would have left early too, had it not been that we were with other people. My observations ---- a ship with 4000 people on board, needs systems, schedules, management and staff trained to an exceptional standard to provide a quality service, This quality service was sadly lacking on this ship.

I complained on ship to 4 management staff, I have their NCL business cards, eventually getting a courtesy meal and a bottle of wine., not satisfactory for a couple who had paid £2500 for a 10 day enjoyable cruise.

Some of the dining room waitresses and waiters did not seem to care. Slow service. Breakfast in morning poor, food cold. They wine waiter did not even bother to get wine that was being served next door in lobby bar. The buffet upstairs, looked more like cattle mart, with guests just pushing and shoving. Looking for tables up there was like looking for a needle in a haystack. Quality of food was adequate, but some overlooked, when waitress was told, she made comment " This is not fine dining , you know !. Going to a special restaurant, is like Hiring a Taxi and walking after it. I don't do those things. Queing up to get into restaurants took 20 mins. Not enough lounge seating for a nice drink, but plenty of casino seating.
