Sea days just felt never ending with boredom. Unless you came on there prepared to gamble, drink all day or shop or listen to that annoying lady talk about shopping, there's not much to do but eat. About that though, the breakfast although was average it was repetitive every morning the same stuff. The scrambled eggs were too runny. I never saw spongebob or Dora which were supposed to be the highlight for my toddler.

By 8 pm the main pool area on deck 12 was dead, like a ghost town. None of the other activities were anything that I would enjoy maybe others did but it just wasn't of interest to myself or my teens. We did go see elements which was supposed to be the best show on the ship. I wasn't impressed, but I am a tough critic and don't like stuff like that. The most entertaining part was when the staff came out. The staff was pretty good. They try their best to be helpful our room steward was amazing.

Our stateroom, an oceanview room for 4 was average, better than carnival and there wasn't any smells in it.bthe restroom was clean, the carpet was kinda old and the mattress uncomfortable and lumpy. Only thing I didn't like about it was we sat right above where the tenders attached to the ship and morning of tenders and the morning we arrived back in Houston were extremely noisy. The Houston arrival morning I was awakened at 4am with all the banging coming from right under my head. I feel like the worst part of the experience were the people who were cruising with us in general. Were Hispanic and the majority was Caucasian. No one was friendly to us, even had one woman be extremely rude to me when she butted into our conversation. I just don't feel the Norweigan Jade was for our type of group. Won't be sailing Norweigan again.

Port Reviews

Cozumel

We walked about 3 blocks away from the cruise terminal and hailed a taxi for just $16. Paid $3 each to use paradise beach

Belize City

Walked to terminal 4, suite 7 and ended up negotiating an excellent deal for a private tour of Belize city, Altun ha with a lunch break. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and a great person! For 4 of us only cost us $186 and we had her for 5 hours.

Roatan

We walked away from port again on this one to avoid the high cost of every taxi that's lined up in there and found an excellent deal outside the terminal. For just $40 we got a tour of the island and then we got dropped off at Paradise resort the resort cost $10 each but it was overcrowded with peddlers. Every few seconds someone was trying to sell us something. And when I did show interest and bought a large conch shell from one woman another woman came to complain about me buying from the other lady since I didn't buy from her when she offered, she didn't have conch shells by the way, she guilt tripped me into buying $10 of necklaces from her. The beach was nice there was glass in the water though. The drinks were strong and cheap. 2x$6
