A journey up the Norwegian coast in the winter is like a fairy tale. It's amazing! To see Norway in a more natural light, without tourists, and snow covered is a wonderful experience. I'm so glad I did this. The ship is lovely, and filled with like minded people, all attracted by the prospect of seeing the northern lights. My cruise had many Brits, plus Dutch, Belgium, Germans, Americans... And probably many others. Traveling solo, I found everyone to be extremely friendly. The crowd was older, as I expected.

The ship was very attractive and well maintained. My cabin on deck seven, was larger than I expected, though still small compared to main stream cruised. But I had plenty of storage space. The bed was comfortable and very cozy with the warm comforter. I'm glad I opted for a window as it was nice to wake up and see the scenery. Unlike mainstream cruises, the cabin is cleaned just once a day, which was fine with me.

The public rooms were very comfortable, and I didn't miss the casino or entertainment at all. I used the evening to catch up on my email and Facebook.
