Everywhere food, but nothing to eat. We have sailed with Royal Caribbean for many years and have always taken the philosophy that it is just a ferry we use to get to various ports. In other words, our standards for what the food needs to be have been very low. Unfortunately, it has gotten to the point where we actually considered bringing back ramen containers on the ship. We ended up paying to eat at Johnny Rockets, but when dinner is something you dread; there might be a problem.

Why subject ourselves to such inconvenience? Royal Caribbean continues to have the best itineraries. The problem arises when we have to return and subject our stomachs to what must be the word food at sea. Service on board was fine and we never had an issue with our cabin.

Singapore is amazing and worth several days at the start or end of your cruise. As has been mentioned, Kuala Lumpur is nowhere near the port, but we still had a great day with a driver we hired. Penang was quite good and we enjoyed the Kek Lok Si temple (be sure your driver lets you off at the top of the hill) and Georgetown. Phuket was a great adventure with very good prices and lots of affordable activities.
