My wife and I cruised on the Escape on 2/27. We are both 32 years old. My wife has cruised before but this was my first cruise and all the negative reviews here really started to make me wonder if this was going to be a worthwhile trip. The Escape was awesome.

We had booked a Balcony room but due to price reductions the week before we left we were able to get a Mini Suite without increasing our fare. The room was amazing. I am not sure that I would have noticed the difference between balcony and mini suite which is about 25 sq ft but the room was clean, had lots of storage, large bathroom and shower and a comfortable bed. Our room attendant Manuel was courteous and did a nice job taking care of our cabin.

The food of the escape was generally good to excellent. The best meals we had were in La Cucina and Cagneys. I had one pretty OK meal in the Manhattan room and one pretty disappointing meal at the Supper Club which has been noted in almost every review. The show is totally worth it though so go to the show and eat before or after somewhere else. It is worth the money just for the show. We also ate the Teppenyaki which was awesome and Le Bistro which was not to my pallette but enjoyable. We had breakfast and lunches in the buffet, MDR's and O'Sheehans and they were always good. Service ranged from polite and courteous to excellent. In every dining rooms there were always maitre d's checking on tables. I really tried to look around to see if other people might be having problems but everyone always seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Meagans Bay was fun. We went stand up paddling. Took a taxi on our own.
