We did a great deal of research before selecting our cruise company and ports of call, and we couldn't have chosen better! The Navigator of the Seas boasted a great staff, plenty of activities and delicious food. Unfortunately, we decided to cruise during spring break, but we knew the cruise might be a little loud and crowded, and overall the spring breakers didn't affect our enjoyment of the cruise and they were generally well-behaved. Our itinerary included a day at sea, one day in Cozumel, one day in Belize City, and another day at sea. The sea days were great as they gave us the opportunity to enjoy the ship's many amenities: gym facilities, pool/hot tub, steam room, mini golf, rock climbing, inline skating, ice skating, bingo, casino gambling, art auction, Johnny Rockets and Chops Grille; we did it all! Cozumel and Belize City were nice ports, and we enjoyed our activities there, but we were always happy to get back on the ship.

Our room was wonderful (corner aft balcony on the 9th deck), though I think my husband enjoyed the balcony more than I did as he constantly hogged the lounger. Roberto, our stateroom attendant, was very nice and accommodating, and he kept our ice supply in good order and brought us bathrobes for the duration of the cruise. The towel animals were a pleasant surprise at night.

Dining service was delightful, though we switched our table from the main entrance (literally the first table at the door) to one by the window (table of six) - did this when we first got on the ship. Our waiter, Falcao, assistant waiter and head waiter truly earned their tips as they fulfilled our every request. I can't say the same for the breakfast service, as the menu was limited and they argued with me about bringing nuts with my oatmeal when I asked. I preferred the Windjammer for breakfast because there was significantly more variety, but we went to the dining room instead because my husband liked it better. We usually ate lunch in the Windjammer, which was alright, and we had appetizers before dinner a few times (sushi mostly), and dinner once. It was nice to find the Windjammer had many of the same offerings as the dining room for dinner. I thought the desserts in the Windjammer were better than the offerings in the dining room, though I really loved the Mudslide cookie at the Cafe Promenade.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Our cabin was a nice size and the bed was very comfortable (two twins made up as one bed). The balcony was triangular, and we noticed it was smaller than the E1 next door, but it was still plenty roomy. We thought the closet was very large, it had plenty of space for our hanging clothing, and we were able to keep our suitcases under the bed. The cabin was a corner aft and it was very, very quiet and gave great views of the ports.
