This cruise could have been great but that was made impossible by the lack of security and chaos at embarkation and disembarkation in Buenos Aires. When we arrived at the terminal in BA we found a very long line created by one (only) cruise employee whose job it was to check for celebrity luggage tags. By so doing, the cruise employee created the chaos for many of those who already had celebrity luggage tags but were held up unnecessarily for way too long in line just to be told to proceed to enter the terminal. In addition, there was NO direction as to how or where to enter the terminal and how to proceed once inside. We had to ask people on line whether this was a line for celebrity or not until we located the correct line. It was way to crowded with too many people in small areas.

If there were signs for Celebrity they were way to difficult to locate and there was only a handful of celebrity employees who were difficult to identify. There were multiple cruise lines embarking at the same time through a single small Terminal entrance with no signage and no one to provide direction to the passengers.. The whole embarkation felt disorganized, insecure and unsafe and caused a good deal of unnecessary stress and anxiety and was a time waster. In addition, after long lines and check-in, all passengers had to take a bus to the ship which only added further to the chaos.

Yes, the embarkation was a disaster but was only exceeded by greater chaos on the last day back at the terminal to find that many passenger's luggage was missing. We could not understand how luggage could be lost when the luggage area was just yards away from the ship. I lost my luggage as did many other passengers and it was never to be found. I have been on over 30 cruises and never felt so insecure and unsafe as I did at the terminals in BA and Rio which were located in dangerous parts of the city. The luggage location was so close to the street where hundreds of people where boarding taxi's and so-called porters were entering and exiting the baggage area without supervision and there was no staff supervising or securing the luggage area.
