We are a married retired couple in our early 60's. This is our 23rd cruise 5 with Celebrity.
We booked this cruise when we were on board of anther Celebrity Cruise and thought we had prepaid gratuities and onboard credit. When we got on board I showed the ship crew member my paperwork showing my credit. She said Celebrity does not show we have a credit. We booked it was you received credit immediately and $250 when you get on board. Well if you don't keep your paperwork on the current promotion your pretty much out of luck.
This was a 14 day cruise to the southern Caribbean. The cabin was fine and the service was also very good. The problem was because there were so many Elite members they simply not prepared for. The Elite reception in the SKY lounge was changed to coupons that use could use and certain bars. They kept using the generic vodka instead of the Absolute that Elite members were suppose to receive. I also like bloody Mary's. They said they were not allowed to give you the bloody Mary mix. That you can have juice and the vodka. So I asked for tomato juice and the Absolute. I spoke to the Captains club hostess and she said that is what was allowed. It is just a few items they seem not to be concerned about.
The cabin was fine. The size was a little bit larger than normal since it was set up for overhead bunk. There was a full size couch instead of a love seat. The cabin steward was very good.
