An outstanding cruise from our Aqua Class accommodations onboard the Equinox. This was our first experience sailing on a Celebrity cruise. Our travel agent told us of Aqua Class which was outstanding. Our stateroom was a very comfortable veranda. We had dining privileges in BLU the Aqua Class restaurant. The staff in the restaurant was professional, helpful and delightful in answering any questions and providing suggestions as to what to order. All the food was in our opinion gourmet and presented beautifully!

The ports of call were varied beginning with Grand Cayman and going on to Cartagena,Columbia; Colon, Panama; Costa Rica, Belize and also Mexico. The most prized excursion we went on was a visit to the Embre Village in Colon. This native tribe of originally Brazilian Indians made their way to Panama many years ago. We were taken by bus to a river and then rode in motorized tug out log canoes to their remote village. They are very primitive and live off the land with subsidies from the government of Panama. They welcomed us and entertained our group with music and dancing. We had a translator to tell us what the chief was saying. They are a beautiful people and appear to be thriving. They make jewelry and carvings which they want to sell to the tourists but of course their items are lovely and we did make several purchases.

I am just writing this review as I recently became a Cruise Critic member and wanted to share this story. We definitely will sail with celebrity in the future and on Aqua Class! Nest cruise will be coming up in a few weeked with Holland America's Volendam which will be Hong Kong to Tokyo. So, stay tuned for information on that one.

Cabin Review

AquaClass 2

The cabin was a comfortable size. The balconey was just right. Our steward supplied us daily in the afternoon with delicious fruity iced tea! The only slight issue was the bed sloped (on my husband's side). When we sail with Celebrity next time, we will bring anything like this to the attention of the room steward immediately. All in all, nothing could have pleased us more...! We were very happy to be in Aqua Class!
