I didn't have the highest expectations of this short cruise, but the port is only about an hour from home, and the price was right, so why not go? Check in was easy, but I was a bit anxious because it was very clear this was Spring Break time. Spring breakers moved around the ship in swarms, mostly took over the pool deck (that was OK...we older folks hung out in the solarium pool. Much quieter!) They were well behaved, dressed up for dinner. Good job, kids! I did hear several warning on the speakers in the casino, warning of terrible fates for anyone buying drinks for minors, but I don't know if the staff ever did anything to the offenders.
Coco Cay was beautiful. We were the only ship there that day, so no shortage of lounge chairs, picnic tables or things to do. We went Jet Skiing. I have never done it before, and won't ever go again! The seas were a bit choppy, which meant the only way to control the jet ski was to go really fast. We literally flew over waves, pounding back down like big power boats. I was scared to death and very sore for 2 days after, all from having every muscle in my body tightened up, trying to avoid falling off! BTW, we did fall off. Don't go unless the sea is VERY calm unless you are an adrenalin junkie.
The entertainment was what you'd expect, but the singers were fabulous! Should be on broadway!
We knew, being that far forward, we'd feel it if the seas were rough at all. Not a problem, since the weather was perfect. It was quiet, plenty of room for our stuff. Would have liked thicker pillows, but that's being REALLY picky. Only downside was the toilet. Had to push really hard on the flush button to get it to flush properly.
