TRUNK BAY (this deserves all caps!!) This is from a hilltop in Saint John.

This trip is still on my mind and I want to go back right now! My husband and I booked this cruise with family members; however they all had to cancel for personal reasons. My husband and I kept our booking and invited some friends of ours along. There were four of us total and we had rooms right next to each other (rooms 8432 & 8436, Aft, Interior, Verandah Deck). Our rooms were in an AWESOME location because we could literally walk up one flight of steps and be at the lido deck where the party and food happens! We spent most of our time on the lido deck so it was a great location for us. The rooms were just as expected from my previous cruises. We had to twins pushed together as a king size bed. I thought the bed was comfortable, but I did hear others complain it was too firm.

This cruise left from Miami and ports of call were Half Moon Cay (pronounced KEY), Saint Thomas, San Juan, and Grand Turk. I will start with some thoughts on each port.

Half Moon Cay is amazing! The beach is so pretty and the sand is like baby powder! We had to take the tinder boat as there is no dock at half moon key. When you were ready to get off the Glory to the tender, you simply went to deck 5 to the Alchamey Bar and got a tinder sticker. There was a long line when we were ready (after breakfast), but the line moves fast because they are simply giving you a sticker with a number. Then "the voice from above" (will explain later), will call tinder numbers as they are ready for the next tinder boat to take you to the island. We only waited ten to fifteen minutes. The tinder boat is a two story boat that travels to the island. It was so beautiful coming into port seeing the huge Glory behind you. There are plenty of chairs on the beach. There are also cabins you can rent for a large fee, but we were happy laying on a chair on the beach. The weather was about 80 degrees so we spent most of the time in the water. There were a few small shops near port, but if you see something you like right away, you best purchase it. The actual store was not opened (not sure why) and the few items that were outside under an awning sold out fast. My friends booked a horseback riding excursion at Half Moon Cay and enjoyed it. My husband and I were perfectly content with sitting on the beach.

Cabin Review

Cabin Aft- Interior

There were four of us total and we had rooms right next to each other (rooms 8432 & 8436, Aft, Interior, Verandah Deck). Our rooms were in an AWESOME location because we could literally walk up one flight of steps and be at the lido deck where the party and food happens! The rooms were comparable to any other interior room on Carnival. There is only one outlet though!

Port Reviews

Half Moon Cay

There is no need to take an excursion here as it is truly beautiful and relaxing on the beach!

Miami

The port was easy to find and the process was smooth. No excursions here.

St. Thomas

Saint John snorkel and beach excursion. I loved this excursion, but it did take up the entire time being at Saint Thomas Port. If you want to have time at Saint Thomas, do not book this excursion.

San Juan

We just walked around and found the El Morro Fort. Well worth the walk (or you can take a trolley ride)

Grand Turk

I do not think it was worth $75 to do this excursion. Maybe if our tour guide actually spoke to us, it would be better, but overall it was not worth the money.
