This was my first cruise, so I have nothing to compare it to, but my two girlfriends and I had an amazing time (we're in our 30's and 40's). We took the Carnival Victory to Nassau and Freeport. We flew in the night before and stayed at an airport hotel, then took a $40 roundtrip Cortran shuttle to the Port and back. (Great shuttle company, would highly recommend).

There is literally something for everyone on the boat. We love to salsa dance and they had an awesome salsa band playing every night (Tropical Melao). We danced and danced and danced to the point we got blisters on our feet, but we didn't care, we were having so much fun. Great atmosphere, great crowd, great selection of activities. They had a comedy club, shows, spa, adult retreat, swimming pools, kids activities, exercise classes, movies, dance clubs, you name it, they had it. Comedy show wasn't great (comedian wasn't funny and was pretty offensive...don't take your kids). The shows hosted by the cruise director, Marcelo, however, were hilarious. He was so much funnier than the comedian, he should've run the comedy club, or have his own late night show.

On some nights, the food was ok, and other nights it was great. Better than I expected. Lots of selection, which was really nice. We loved the Chinese food buffet, and the late night Mexican buffet. Wait staff was ok, nothing special. We enjoyed the waiters performances during the dinners.

Nassau

We took the #10 bus to Cable Beach...paid $35 for a day pass at the Melia hotel. A little pricey, but they gave you a free cocktail, towel, chairs, and umbrella. Beautiful beach.
