DH and I have taken many cruises but this was the first one to Asia, and we loved it. We would recommend this cruise for anyone that likes hot, humid weather.

We had booked our flight and hotel through Princess. Our flight left on time from Los Angeles at 11:35 PM. We flew with Cathay Pacific, not the most comfortable but it was ok - probably would have been better if we would have flown Business Class. We took the last two seats on the flight, which meant that DH and I did not have to share, we actually liked the seats, so no complained. 14 hours to Hong Kong and another 3 1/2 hours to Singapore.

Got in early, since we were offered an earlier flight. Princess was there, but our name was not on the list (since we came on an earlier flight this was understandable). We had to wait till the next batch of Princess Employees came in to pick us up. We were to stay at the Swiss Stamford Hotel but were told that we were being taken to the Jen Hotel, no explanation given. The next day we found out from other people that there had been a fire at the Swiss Stamford Hotel and no electricity was available at the hotel. I think the Princess employee that picked us up from the airport should have informed us and not left us in the dark (no pun intended). We were given free passes to the Botanical Garden the next day to make up for the inconvenience.
