My wife booked a cruise for our 30th anniversary and it was a wonderful, relaxing holiday. As it was our first cruise we were a little apprehensive but the cruise, ship and staff exceeded our expectations. Boarding the ship was a breeze as the friendly and helpful shore staff made it so easy that we were onboard before we knew it. The size of the Voyager was overwhelming at first, but once we found our room and had unpacked, we felt quite at home. It took us a day or so to find our way around the ship although the touch screens and signage ensured we never got lost.
The dining was wonderful, too much so, as we both succumbed to the tempting delights offered. We tried a few of the specialty restaurants, Izumi, Giovanni's Table and Johnny Rockets and loved all of them. The main dining room, windjammer and promenade cafe all provided great food, ranging from a la carte through buffet to snacks to enjoy with a coffee.
Our stateroom attendant, once we'd located him, gave us great service. In fact all the staff were wonderful and genuine in providing such excellent service.
The entertainment and activities were all of a high standard, although we didn't try to do too much, as our holiday was about relaxing, not rushing around trying to get to everything. We tended to spend time relaxing by the pool, watching the house bands or movies.
Disembarking was so well organised and quick that we were back on shore in Sydney before we knew it. We can highly recommend Royal Caribbean in every way for providing a fantastic holiday.
We had a balcony stateroom which was quite comfortable and spacious, I enjoyed sitting on the balcony and reading a few books and catching a bit of sun.
Highlights included sand drawing at the museum and a visit to a village for traditional welcome and dancing.
The water was a bit rough so we couldn't get out to all the reef, but we saw some coral and fish.
