After 15 cruises with Princess and Celebrity, we took our first on Royal Caribbean. It was a true misadventure.

First and foremost, the food served both in the buffet and in the dining room was dreadful. In the buffet, the food was served in tarnished pans and was unappetizing. It was the same food each day with a different colored sauce. The food in the dining room was equally tasteless and usually overcooked. Even the specialty restaurant, Giovani's, failed. The Osso Buoco was fatty and full of grizzle.

Our cabin, while clean and having plenty of storage space, was directly opposite two service area doors which housed the service elevator. This was conveniently omitted from the deck plan schematic I studied. Needless to say, the noise was constant and endless.
