We arrived the day prior and stayed at the Red Roof Inn plus Miami airport due to it advertised airport shuttle and shuttle to port and pictures were nice. It was 180 night and what a dump. One shuttle for everyone that could seat 7 so we got picked up after 1/2 hour we were the lucky ones. Just overall cleanliness was to be desired and we couldn't check out because it was the weekend of the storm jonas and everywhere was booked solid. so we toughed it out and got out early in the morning.
we arrived at port and where checked in by 10:00 and were in group #7, so we knew we weren't getting vibe passes so we didn't even try. We boarded around noon and had lunch at savor which was very nice. We had the UBP and ordered cocktail that were very strong. We are not wimpy in anyway but all week long the drinks were too strong to really enjoy. Pina Coladas and not supposed to make you cringe. But we just kept ordering to we found drinks we liked. The Mojito bar was the best, a raspberry quava mojito that was amazing.
we had oceanview cabin and it was very nice, we were surprised by the space we had and our attendant was amazing. We had 10 in our group on different floors and we all lost power one day or another, or the tv stopped working, it was always something. Anyways, We had time to explore this big bad boy of a ship. The ship itself was large but the space was small. The store was so small I couldn't believe it. My husband forgot his hair gel well they sold what little health and beauty items they had in the liquor store, Seriously 2 shelves for everything. No hair gel not much of anything. We couldn't believe it, this massive ship and beauty items tucked away in the liquor store.
