Overall, this was a fun 3 day trip to the Bahamas. Our cabin was clean except for the black substance on the curtains. The beds/pillows were comfortable. Our balcony was a little rough looking. Rust spots and chipped paint. The food was mediocre. My pizza-loving son and husband didn't like the pizza that was available 24 hrs a day. No food was terrible or outstanding. Service in the main dining room wasn't that great. The love & marriage show as well as the comedy shows were wonderful. Our son participated in the Hasbro show which was very fun! The 88-keys show was low quality. The piano bar was awful. The man wasn't talented or funny. When we arrived there was only one couple there (at 11 pm) which was a sign. We sang along and requested songs so we tried to bring some energy. Our 9 year old son enjoyed camp carnival during the day but not during the night owl program that comes with an hourly fee. He thought the evening activities were boring (he was watching a movie when he arrived to pick him up at 11 pm). We enjoyed the casino, arcade, water slides, mini golf course (on the day at sea; other days were too windy), pool, and hot tubs (except when rowdy kids kept splashing us). Staff friendliness was hit and miss. Several staff smiled and wished us well while several of them avoided eye contact until we said hello first. We didn't book an excursion for Nassau. We walked to the government building to have our passports stamped. We then walked down Bay street to pick up a few souvenirs. We walked to Junkanoo beach and had a nice time swimming in the beautiful and warm ocean. We stopped by Conch N' Kalik for lunch but the service was so slow that we just bought drinks and left. We grabbed conch fritters at Senor Frog. Delicious! Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly. We arrived at 1:30 pm and did self-assist at 7:45 am.
