Let me start by saying it has been at least 6 years since I have taken this type of cruise and first time on Celebrity. I have previously been on Royal Caribbean 4 times and enjoyed all of them.

In recent years I have been taking European river cruises and a luxury liner Regent. I totally understand they are different market experiences. I was booked in a Concierge Room only to find out there were no extra amenities except a shoeshine which was not needed. I stopped by the Concierge Desk and the agent was rarely there. There was nothing she could do that I could not get for myself. The canapes were terrible the first couple of days so we did not ask for them after the first 2 days.

I have known about the specialty restaurants which incur surcharges but $90 to $100 per couple is outrageous. The food in the main dining room was mediocre which pushes you to the specialty restaurants. I will say the food at the buffet was outstanding but I did not want most of my meals to be buffet especially during sea days. Read more
