Sail Date: Feb 2016

We are Gold Card members, always have the Grand Suite, are used to a certain level of comfort, and have been mostly satisfied on all previous cruises. This was the first time we sailed on the Sunshine and will absolutely be the last. First the good points......the embarkation process was the quickest and easiest we've experienced on ANY cruise line, and the food -both in the Dining Room and the two specialty restaurants was really very good. So much for the good part....on to the problems.

- From the day we left port until the day we returned the ship "rocked and rolled" constantly, even though the waters were calm.

- There was constant noise in our cabin. Various pings, groans, creaks and a strange tapping noise. It never stopped...it gave the impression that the ship itself was protesting being sent out on this voyage.

Cabin Review

Grand Suite

Cabin GS

We have always reserved a Grand Suite with Carnival. This one was configured much differently than the others with much less storage and closets, and the bathroom was MUCH smaller.....only one sink, a tub/shower with a cheap shower curtain rather than the sliding plexiglass enclosure, and no bidet.
