This was our first thomsons cruise and was a last minute booking! After reading the reviews we didn't expect too much but given the cost of cruise and the itinerary we were happy to give the majesty a try and we were pleasantly surprised! Yes our cabin was small and a bit tired looking, yes the towels and the table linen weren't whiter than white, however main thing was everything was clean and kept tidy by our cabin staff !

However on the very big plus side was the entertainment from cruise director Shep and his team, the singers and dancers were excellent and their shows were amazing and the 2 comedians were also very good as was the lead band ! Also no issues with the service we thought staff were very friendly and efficient! Food was variable from being very good to ok but there was always something there you could eat and it was hot !!!

Staff were always about cleaning so don't understand some comments about cleanliness although do agree ship does have an overall tired look about it however this did not deter from our enjoyment of our holiday ! We enjoyed the itinerary and many of the ports you could walk straight into town! We did 2 trips only because they weren't within walking distance and both were well organised this was to puerto del carmen in Lanzarote and agadir in Morocco! We did our own thing at the other ports! Madeira was our favourite although it did rain that day we did the cable car, botanic gardens and the tobogganing all well worth doing ! Read more
