I am glad that I bought FTTF. Checking-in at the port, using the short line at guest services, and debarking when we wanted was great.
With 6 foot swells all week, this was the roughest cruise that we have been on. The swells were so rough that the ship could not port at Amber Cove. We just slowly moved on to our next port. The high winds closed the water slide all week. When we got to St. Thomas, we decided to spend the day at Cinnamon Bay on St. John. It was beautiful and we had a great time. The travel costs [taxis and the ferry] for 2 adults and a child totaled $140.00 at the end of the day.
In San Juan, we found the best prices for liquor turned out to be the CVS by the port.
Standard balcony cabin. It does have a small flat screen TV. This cabin is directly across from the stewards pantry. The pantry noise starts about 7:30am. The only time that we heard our neighbors was when they let their balcony door slam. Even though this cabin is on a high deck and forward, we did not get as much movement as I thought that we would with the rough seas.
Overpriced. There are better ways to spend $250.00. The food was good but limited - jerk chicken, mahmahi, steamed vegetables, rice & vanilla cookies for dessert. You have your choice of rum punch, beer, rum, vodka, gin, or bottled water. We should have gone to Jack's Shack.
Went to Cinnamon Bay on St. John on our own. It had all the facilities that you would want and was not as crowded as Trunk Bay.
We used Parking Port Canaveral. It was a quick shuttle to the port.
San Juan is always nice to visit. We walked all over Old San Juan, took the free shuttle, and spent too much money.
