Pirate day

Our family of 13 (including 5 grandsons aged 8 months thru 6 years) just returned from a fabulous trip on the Disney Magic. The itinerary was not great, but the overall experience was amazing. Castaway Cay was fun. The water a bit cold in February. We stayed on the ship when we docked in Nassau.

There were programs and activities on board for all of the children. The 2 year old was too young to go in the pool or participate in the activities, but he was in love with the characters and followed them around the ship. He enjoyed the evening dance parties and the small splash pool. Pirate night is a lot of fun. Bring eye patches and striped shirts and you will fit right in. The 3 older children participated in the activities with children their age. They unfortunately found the ipads in the play room and were more than willing to spend time with those. However, we took them to the evening shows and they loved the water slides, etc. The infant played in the splash pool and participated in a crawling race.

The entertainment was terrific, especially the last day of the trip when there was a 2:00 show. The best way to tell you how much the kids loved it was through the eyes of our 5 year old grandson who asked if we could stay one more day. When I told him the cruise was over, he exclaimed that he wished the cruise started on that day so he could do it all over again. If that isn't a positive review, I don't know what is.

Cabin Review

Concierge 1-Bedroom Suite with Verandah

Cabin 00T

Our cabin was spacious and well appointed. We had 2 bathrooms and a living room area that

came in handy with our group of 13. The other staterooms were much smaller, but they were more than adequate for the families. They were in 8050, 8052, 8054

Castaway Cay

Castaway Cay was great for our family. The older boys played stayed with the programs with kids. The younger ones played on the sand. The water was cold (February), so they didn't want to go in. The Disney characters walked around and that was a highlight. There were plenty of chaise lounges for everyone. The Magic is half the size of the Wonder, so I'm not sure how that works with those large numbers.
