My wife Gayle and I sailed on the Anthem of the Seas the week after the horrible storm which negatively affected those on board that week ! There were a total of five friends sailing with us Jim and Dawn, Bob and Vicki, and Jane ! We all had a wonderful time and we all look forward to sailing the Anthem again some day ! My wife and I have reached Diamond status on RCCL's loyalty program and it pays to stay loyal to one cruise line . First to board and first to leave if you wish to . A limited number of drinks each day (3) per person. A Diamond lounge to enjoy each day from 5 to 8:30 pm, etc, etc . I think that some of the negative reviews we read prior to our trip were just a matter of getting used to some of the changes made in dining, booking shows, and some other minor things that were different . We found your best bet is to book a specific time to have dinner and get on a rotation at the different restaurants prior to your sailing . When our group wanted to make a change either to the time or restaurant we had booked there was never any problem ! Just do it in advance on that day ! We all enjoyed the food except for Jamie's Italian ! It's not the same Italian food that we were used too ? Entertainment was great !! The house band Rock the Boat was the best we've ever seen on a cruise ship !!! They need to put them in the Main showroom, because they are that talented !!! Cruise director Abe was cool as well as his staff ! This ship had all you needed to have a good time but it is up to each and every one of us to accomplish this ! I can't think of another type of vacation where so many fine people try their very best to make us all happy time after time again !! Remember we bring ourselves on vacation . If we want to be miserable on our trip We will be Miserable !!! Here's to Happy Sailing !!! Bob and Gayle

Port Reviews

Bayonne (Cape Liberty)

We live 20 minutes from Bayonne . There is definitely nothing to do at this port !

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

We rented a 7 passenger van and drove to the Brevard County Zoo . Nothing spectacular but a fun day !!! Stop at Steak & Shake about 2 miles from the zoo and have one of their milkshakes ( Jim and Bob had two, Lol !!! ) can't miss !!!!

Nassau

Been to the Bahamas many times ! Just took a $4.00 cab ride to the Atlantis to pass some time !
