My wife needs a walker since she has a real problem getting around safely. We are also Platinum members with NCL, and the usually send us to a short line to expedite our embarkation. We were sent to the end of the pier & forced to wait for over an hour, which is totally irresponsible of NCL. The hallways & cabins are too narrow for anyone with a walker. I had to carry it for my wife ,while I held her.

The cabins are very noisy. I do not think there is any sound deadening materials between cabins. There is no evidence of security onboard, so there were unruly people running & screaming down the hallways till 3am, making sleeping very tough!! The hot water was always cold. Trying to reach the guest relation desk is a real task. No one ever answers the phone, so you have to walk down to discuss any issues.

I later had to contact NCL 8 times by letter & emails before I got any response from anybody. I guess large companies like NCL really do not care if you were inconvenienced during your cruise. They can always get someone else to cruise, instead of you. Spend your money on a better line like Celebrity and not cruise on the Breakaway, or any other ship of NCL.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BB

Clean, but way too cramped, especially for a person with a walker. Cabin steward very pleasant.

Port Reviews

Nassau

Dirty port of call. Did not feel safe here!

Great Stirrup Cay

Nothing to do ,but swim .

New York (Manhattan)

Embarkation was one of the worst ever in all our 47 cruises! The disembarkation was a little better. NCL really needs to get their act together, especially for the Platinum members!
