We have used NCL so many times we are platimum members. This cruise was not so up to par so to speak. We were to receive choclate and strawberries in our rooms upon checkin. Four days later I had to call and ask for them. I was told I should have let them know sooner. Go figure. We always have robes in our room this time we had one. Had to call and ask for the other. We were also to have a bottle of wine upon checkin and had to call for that twice after four days. We went three days without a bath mat. I had to ask for clean sheets after four days. Come ON! What is the four day routine? Other than the lousy room service the rest was great. We were told upon check in that we had personal concerge service, he finally left a card of introduction the last day of the cruise. I did complain but the response was it had to be my fault for not speaking up sooner than the last day of the cruise. I was not about to speak up during the cruise for fear of retaliation. My balcony, that we paid extra for, was never cleaned one time. It had paint chips and dirty towels out there until I picked them up after several days. This is not an employee problem this is a manger problem. When the cruise line went to automatic room steward payment on your bill instead of allowing you to choose the level of service you got for the tip given this is what you get. Why care, they are paid anyway. Our Steward found out, somehow we did not tell him, that my husband is an attorney. He questioned my husband on what he could do to his employeer because of an on the job injury. We aren't there to give legal advice to our steward. Period! I also complained about that and the response was we must of somehow told him my husband was an attorney. Why would we? He had to have access to our records or snooped through our things.
