We have been cruising for over 10 years and are Silver Lattitude members on Norwegian. This was our first experience on the Spirit and we were very disappointed.

Getting on-board was easygoing no waiting and very quick check in. The boat itself is older and shows it's age. There are places where the carpet is worn bare, rust visible here and there, and a general worn appearance, but they do keep it clean.

We decided that since this cruise was 7 days with 2 full days at sea that we would upgrade to a balcony. That was a mistake. The room was not impressive, the bed was hard as a brick, the balcony was so dirty I wouldn't go out there until the porter addressed it, the bathroom tile was cracked and stained, but the worst thing was the sewer smell. The bathroom stank and sometimes the smell seeped out under the door into the room. I spoke to the porter, I called housekeeping, but no one was able to do anything to fix the problem.
