I really don't understand all the bad reviews. I read GZRECOIL's review and I just don't get it. We were on the same ship at the same time and we had a great time. Was it perfect? no it wasn't. Do I have some complains? of course but I really think people need to lighten up. I have no idea what his comment of the staff all leaving after the cruise meant. Everyone we spoke to was staying on until the reefs in May except 1 girl on the cruise staff.

Day 1 - Embarkation was surprisingly quick and easy. We got to pier around 1:30 which is unusual for us but we wanted to take in a little Mardi Gras before hand. We were greeted by our cabin steward as soon as we got to our room. She was quiet but efficient and got her job done quickly. Weather was a bit chilly so we sat on our balcony as we sailed down the Mississippi. Had dinner at Teppanyaki which was fantastic. Didn't do a show as it was super bowl so we caught the second half of the game and hit the casino for a bit. Casino is really smokey. This seems to be an issue on all NCP ships I have been on.

Day 2 - Sea day. Weather didn't warm up much but we managed to spend a good chunk of the afternoon on deck reading and relaxing. Went to dinner at Le Bistro which was excellent and saw a show.
