We expected to board by 11:00, but when we arrived at the port it was pretty much chaos. The cruise before was a heavy metal band cruise and they were still cleaning up after them. Several large pieces had to be taken off the pool deck, then the pool deck was cleaned and the pools had to be filled. We got onboard at approx 1:00.
The crew were great! We were told that our cabins were ready and we could expect our luggage by 8:00. So, we headed to the Windjammer for some lunch.
Our cabin was very nice an E2 hump balcony cabin. We booked a port side cabin because we wanted to be able to see the docking process but unfortunately they ported each time on the starboard side. We will be on The Liberty again next Feb and I hope to be able to find out if that is always the case, if so, I may have to change our cabin.
Nothing special about this cabin, but nothing bad either! It was a standard balcony cabin located right off the elevators. I thought the noise of the elevators and foot traffic might be a problem but it was not. Very quiet at night. We loved the balcony! Because it was a "hump" cabin it did stick out a bit from the others for very good viewing.
Our cabin steward Shamari. Was awesome!
We did get off the ship here and were able to see some of those who were taking the zip line tour but it began to rain pretty heave so we returned to the ship.
