My wife and I have been on numerous cruises (16+) throughout the world on various cruise lines over the years. This was our first cruise with Disney. The 7-day Western Caribbean Cruise started in Port Canaveral on February 6, 2016. The Port is easy to get to and is a good location. We live in Florida and it's only a 90 minute drive from our home, north of Orlando.
Boarding the ship was no problem. We got on board quickly around 1 pm. Our room was towards the front of the ship on deck 9, room 9026. This was a good location because we were able to take the stairways to 11 for breakfast. Most points of interest are on 3, 4 and 5. The ship was around 4 years old and was very nice; very clean. The staff was great and the food was good. The entertainment was very good, if not outstanding. Assigned seating in the dining rooms worked out very nicely. We rotated among three dining rooms over the 7 days, which actually was very nice. We kept the same table number, staff and table mates. Every dining room was different and special. The included spa include a very small (maybe 4 person) steam room, and a very nice fitness room. Again, the staff was great.
There are many “special” areas of the ship. The children had spectacular play areas, but the adults had very nice “adult only” areas too. Certain restaurants and spas were for the select few, or those willing to pay $$$ for a “special” dinner or spa experience. These appeared empty much of the time.
Very nice and very clean. It included a two room bathroom ... very nice.
