We've been on 22 cruises and this was the most disappointing. There was an outbreak of norovirus on the previous week and so we had a 1.5 hour delay getting on while they sanitized the ship. They also implemented various sanitation protocols to prevent the further spread of the virus. I commend NCL for their efforts in this regard. The communication concerning this issue was completely lacking and you could not get a straight answer from anyone (waiter to officer). Normal operations were resumed after 4 days.
So - - - the crew was stressed and I appreciate all the hard work to keep us safe.
SERVICE - - -why was the service so bad, even after normal operations were resumed? The staff was grumpy, rude and didn't seem to care. It took 24 hours to get some ice. Every bar had a huge line to get drinks. We were a party of six and we never once got our food at the same time.
