Our first ever Celebrity cruise was in january of 2011. We have been on 11 cruises with Celebrity since then, all on Solstice Class ships. But Equinox was the first in 2011 and this ship is still special to us.
We stayed at the Hilton Marina hotel, which we had done before. Pricy, but the location makes up for so much in our opinion. We booked a transfer from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the ship through QLS, which we can also recommend. As Equinox was the only ship in port on embarkation day, getting into the port was not as crazy as we have seen it during weekend, when 7 of 8 ships can be in port at the same time.
Our last time on Equinox was in 2012...we did notice some wear and tear; some worn furniture in public lounges and restaurants (Sky Lounge, Tuscan Grille) and in our stateroom (leaking pipes on our balcony, lots or rust showing). The stateroom itself was very good once again.
Standard balcony room. Sofa near the window, bed on the bathroom side. In good condition, well maintained and kept clean. Close to the forward elevators; 3rd stateroom in the corridor from the elevator.
