Sail Date: Feb 2016

This was our first time sailing with Princess and I wasn't impressed with the overall cruise. I've been on eight different ships and Princess was our fourth cruise line to sail with. For me its not about the cruise line but the overall ship experience as each ship is a bit different in design and what they have to offer.

Embarkation was a breeze. We live in Houston and paid to park in the lot. We waited only a short time to board and that process went smoothly. What I felt strange was a lack of welcome actually boarding the ship. I'm used to seeing Ships Officers etc welcoming each passanger, not just security and a few low level staff memebers.

State Room: We had a balcony room that was the smallest balcony state room we have ever had. Our other rooms on different ships all had a couch in them. The bedding was horrible. The mattresses need to be replaced. I've slept better in GI Steel beds in the service. The room was clean and Allan the steward did a great job for us.

Balcony

Cabin BA

Small cabin and horrible mattresses. The cabin was clean.

Port Reviews

Roatan

It rained and all we wanted to do was go to the beach. I don't see the value of Honduras as a cruise ship stop.

Belize City

Again I don't see Belize as a value for a cruise ship stop.

Cozumel

We went to the beach at Playa Maya. Cozumel should be the only stop on this side of the Gulf. It is developed with a lot of different activities for people to do. We had 8 ships in port at the same time and the island can handle it.
