Initially everyone on this cruise was quite upset due to the change in ports. We all were looking forward to a western caribbean cruise out of New Jersey. Due to a snow storm on the east coast we lost a day on the cruise and left a day late. Logistics caused the western carribean cruise to be changed to an eastern caribbean cruise. Many like us have been to all of the ports: St. Kitts, St. Thomas, St. Martin, San Juan and Labradee.
We live bout 1 hour from the port in New York. We arrived at the port at 11:00AM. It was slow crawl to the baggage handlers. However once there everything moved quickly. We unloaded the car and checked our bags and then parked in the parking garage. This was very convenient and cheaper than taking a car service to the port. We had printed our sea pass ahead of time so check-in took minutes. I think we were able to drop off our belongings in our cabin.
We then went to the buffet to have lunch. The food was good at the Windjammer and everyone had to wash their hands prior to entering the buffet. Great feature to cut down on illness. The ship is absolutely beautiful-very contemporary design. After we set sail we unpacked. The cabin was beautiful with a wonderful bathroom. Plenty of storage space. All I needed was a bigger pile of hangers. My cabin steward supplied them in a short time.
The cabin was spacious and very comfortable with plenty of storage space. I think more stations on the television should be available with free movies. I like to watch TV before I go to sleep and there was very little to watch. The bathroom was great with a terrific shower. The balcony was nice. We sat out often when it wasn't too windy.
Wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Very informative. Drinks included.
Took a taxi to the beach because we wanted to be on the beach longer than the shore excursion allowed. Rented lounge chairs and spent an enjoyable afternoon at the beach.
Boat ride was lovely but there was little to do in Marigot because it was a Sunday and most shops were closed
We arrived very early in San Juan. There were no tours of any interest to us. We'd been there several times before so we stayed on the ship.
Had a great time-beach was lovely and tour was informative.
