My wife and I have been on a dozen cruises on several of the standard cruise lines. This was our fourth time in Princess. We found that over all service is diminishing. The food in the dining room was adequate but the service was not up to par. This was not the fault of the waiters. It was obvious that they were overworked with too many responsibilities. On past cruises we were made to feel special. We got to know our waiters and they got to know us. Princess seems to have cut back on the number of waiters and hence the service. Our experience in the optional fine dining venue, The Crown Grill, was very good. Maybe Princess is trying to herd us all into the optional dining

Our cabin was fine. It could certainly use some deep cleaning and an update. The steward kept everything ship shape, but no friendliness or special attention.

We thought the big review shows in the evening were very good, better than we've seen on some cruises. The cruise directors staff was excellent. They were very entertaining at all the various activities they conducted. I would have liked some better choices for lounge music in the evenings.

The cabin was serviceable, but needs an update and deep cleaning. The carpeting should be replaced among other things.

As with the dining service, I believe that Princess cut back on cabin steward staff. I wonder if this is the case on all their ships.
