After reading some of the reviews on here - I almost didn't book this cruise. Luckily we did though. Was very good value for money. Food (both quality and quantity) was superb. A step up from Carnival and P&O who we've sailed with previously. Service was top-notch. However it always is on these cruises - have never seen otherwise.
The ship is getting on a little.. but it's only really noticeable if you're looking to find the signs. it's certainly not the old rust-bucket some people try and make it out to be. We traveled at the end of the Summer holidays with our 15 year old. There was plenty of kids for him.. but not so many that they over-ran the ship. The kids we saw were well behaved. Teen club was well organised with plenty to keep them occupied. As we traveled that time of the year and to the Islands where the ports were mostly beaches - there was a mixed demographic on board. It was an older demographic to what we've experienced previously (as Princess has a reputation for), however it wasn't a snooze-cruise or a problem.
We had an interior room for the first time. Lot smaller that the rooms we've had on the other ships. The cabin was ok - but wouldn't rave about it. However, we spent that little time in there - we were not worried. Entertainment was mostly good. Perhaps not as good as P&O - but far better than Carnival. Embarkation and dis-embarkation was very smooth.
