This was our first cruise with Royal Caribbean. We cruised before with Holland America, NCL and Celebrity cruise lines in Europe, Alaska, Hawaii and Caribbean. This was a first cruise just to get away from winter. We stayed 2 nights before the cruise in Miami Beach exploring the historic Art Deco district and enjoying the South Beach. Embarkation was quick and efficient. We arrived at assigned time (12:30 PM) and got on board right away. We brought 2 bottles of wine with us - no questions were asked. The ship is in very good condition and easy to navigate, with ample public spaces, convenient promenade deck, observation decks and amazing centrum. we expected less and were pleasantly surprised by ship condition and amenities considering the Majesty's age! We didn't participate in many activities, but enjoyed the life music in the Boleros. The main theatre shows were so-so, and we couldn't make them all due to early dinning. Service was excellent, thank you to Roche and Oleksandr in main dining room and our cabin attendant Putu! We didn't do any excursions, just enjoyed the beach and historical city walk in Nassau, private island amenities in Coco Cay and Mel Fisher Maritime and Hemingway museums in Key West. US Immigration control in Key West was awful - it took 2 hours before we could exit the ship! What to they really check? How all the people got aboard in Miami? We had an ocean view cabin on deck 8, slightly obstructed by a lifeboat, but still with a view. True, the cabin and bathroom are very small, but we didn't spent much time there at all! We disembarked early (at 7:30 AM), no issues or delays. Overall, it was an excellent winter getaway!
