This was our first cruise on Britannia and our first time cruising the Caribbean. I was a bit concerned after reading some negative reviews but we loved the ship and the cruise and have booked to return next year. We ate in the Oriental restaurant and the food and service were excellent. My only slight complaint was the small serving of vegetables but I compensated by having a salad at lunch time in the Horizon self service restaurant. The Horizon was much better laid out than the equivalent on the Oceana and we never had a problem finding a table at either breakfast or lunch (or afternoon tea, a habit which crept in during the second week!). The cabin seemed much the same size as those on the Oceana . The balcony was small but there was room for both of us to sit out on it. The cabin was kept spotless by our Steward Nassir. We enjoyed the shows that we watched in the Headliners theatre and didn't have a problem finding seats. We were less impressed with the Live Lounge where you could only see the acts if you sat near the front as many people were standing in front of the rear seats. The Crows Nest was a lovely venue for a quiet drink. All the staff we met were cheerful and helpful. As others have said, there are real issues with the reservation of sun beds, especially when they are left 'reserved' with towels for hours on end. We went on several excursions, a favourite being the River Tubing on Dominica

Cabin Review

Cabin E255
Had everything we needed and kept in spotless condition.

We were very pleased that there was a shower screen rather than the old style curtain.

The plug points in the cabin are UK 3 pin but for some reason, the shaver socket in the bathroom is 2 pin American necessitating the use of an adaptor which we hadn't packed so we had to buy one - irritating but not the end of the world.
