This was our 3rd time on the same Caribbean cruise. This cruise suits us because of 2 sea days, 5 ports and 2 sea days back and a chance to leave the UK winter behind. Check in at Port Everglades was quick & efficient and much faster than last year. We were booked into Concierge class as there was no price difference. The only 'perks' seem to be a bottle sparkling wine on boarding and afternoon canapés and fruit each day. We declined the canapés and the fruit seemed to be either a apple or pear. Not worth paying any extra for. Our room steward Elton was excellent. The cabin was kept spotless and nothing was too much trouble for him.
After being on fixed seating for the previous two cruises we thought it was time for a change. Anytime dining suited us as we met many interesting people to chat to. First night getting a reservation was a little chaotic but did get better and if you don't mind sharing a table you can walk straight in. Service was bit hit and miss. It is probably better on fixed sitting as you get to know your waiter. We also had a good amount of on board credit so treated ourselves to the 3 specialist restaurants which we really enjoyed. We enjoyed the Silk Harvest and Tuscan Grill the best. Murano was good but a little formal for me.
Ocean view buffet restaurant has a really good selection of food but it can be difficult to find a table. We only tended to use it at lunch times. At breakfast we found a table, set it up with glasses of water, cutlery and purchased fresh orange juice and went to collect our food, came back and the table had been cleared. There should be some sort of card system on the table to reserve the table.
