This was our first disney cruise. We have a 1 and 3 yo which makes any trip a challenge. We went to Magic Kingdom the day before our cruise and stayed at one of the Disney resorts. I arranged private transport through ACE which was flawless. We arrived at 11:15 am the day of our cruise and were on the ship around noon. I had completed all of our documents online before we left so it only took about 5 to 10 minutes to get checked in. I tried to finish checking in my 3 yo into the kid zone but the line was long and it was time to board.

The ship was beautiful. Rooms are not ready until around 1:30 pm so we went to lunch. While my wife and my parents fed the kids. i went to guest services and signed the adults up for a mixology class and a whiskey tasting class. I then went to the nursery and booked time for my 1 yo each evening. (There was no line) and then went next door to get a band for my 3 yo at the kid zone. ( i was second in line). Both stops took less than 15 minutes. You get bands for each child which are GPS locators and they ask typical questions about allergies, food restrictions and if face paint/tattoos are ok. I cannot speak more highly of the nursery and kids area. My 3 yo would have preferred to stay there all day. He talks more about the kids area than he does about petting a dolphin. The staff at both places were great. They would call your wave phone if there were any issues. They texted us once to let us know that our 3 yo had laid down and took a nap but that he was ok. As expected all shows were of disney quality. The sail away party was great and pirate night was awesome. Even the music that is played throughout the ship changed to pirate music that day. The fireworks were really cool.

Dining - Dinner was our only complaint. We have cruised before on other cruise lines before children. The Service was great. The kids menus were good. My kids ate most things on there. My 1 yo was not feeling great and we asked if they had a banana and some yogurt and without hesitation it showed up. The adult food was not bad but just very average. Our last night at animators palate the food was a little better. The animators Palate show is really fun and keeps the kids entertained. Having Crush come talked to you is a big thrill. We did not try Palo and Remy but will next time. The buffets were good. On average we thought the buffets were just as good if not better than dinner. Our previous cruises we looked forward to dinner but not so much with this one.
