Off the 1/23/16 So, Carribean cruise. Couple, age 50, first time on X. Prior RCL, NCL and Disney. The Summit delivered in fine fashion on this port-intensive cruise. Here's some overall observations:

Overall Impressions: Tended to be an "older crowd" but not exclusively. Few families and kids programs but time of year was not family cruising. MDR food was the best we have had on a cruise, but service was chaotic/slow. We chose this cruise based on itinerary and price which we were very pleased on both. 5 island stops were great. On-board entertainment in theater was actually very good by cruise ship standards. Officers present throughout the ship, but I really don't understand why people care so much about that (I kinda want the captain on the bridge making sure we stay afloat...).

Maintenance: Some comments on cc boards about deteriorating maintenance on Summit; we did not experience such. Few areas worn here and there, but my goodness, 83 degrees, sunshine, not being at work, and drinks make up for that!

Cab to Accra Beach...beautiful. Tiki Restaurant on south end gives you $30 credit for couple of chairs and umbrella. So you get chairs and $30 food/drink for day. Great deal. Good fish bites!

St. Lucia

Great island tour with COSOL. reasonable priced. Beautiful island. Go see the Pitons one way or another!

Kayak-speedboat-snorkel-hike tour with antigua paddles. Beautiful island!
